Two Months!!

My cute little boy is two months old today. He is such a joy in my life!

Length: 23 3/4 in. - 90%
Weight: 13 lbs 6 oz. - 90%
Head Circ.: 40.7 cm - 75%

He smiles a ton but everytime I try to get a picture and he doesn't see my face he quits smiling. Well, I tried holding the camera and just looking at him and hoping I got him in the picture. As you can see it didn't work out too well...but these pictures still make me laugh!

Sunny Days!!

The weather has been awesome the last few days. I decided to take advantage of it and head to the park with my neighbor Melissa and her kids. We stopped and got takeout at Emmets and Ethels in Lehi (yummy shakes and fries!!) and headed to the park. We had a great time! Hopefully there will be many more days like this coming.

This is our cute neighbor Cooper. Our boys are only a month apart. We had no idea that we were both naming our boys Coop.

While at the park Coop wanted to swing in the swings. He got into the baby swings and wouldn't sit back. It was hilarious.

Cow's go Moo!!

While we were in Vernal we got to see a bunch of cute little calves. Coop loved the calves. The only problem was that they were also branding the calves, giving them shots and doing other unpleasant things to them. We didn't really think of the effect on Cooper until he started crying. Oops!
This morning I told Coop that Ryker had to go to the MD today to get his shots. He got the most scared look on his face and said, "Cows get shots. Cows go MOO!!, Cows go JUMP." I reassured Coop and told him that Ryker was getting people shots and that he would be alright. :)

Red Fleet

This past weekend we headed to Vernal to go camping with family. Yes, I said camping. My husband is on crutches, I have a two month old, it wasn't even warm and I went camping. Now before you think I'm totally crazy, we did have a trailer with heat. The weekend consisted of fishing, dutch-oven cooking, kite-flying and easter egg hunts. Thanks to Susan and her family for planning such a fun weekend!!

Spread the Word

Hey everyone!! So I noticed on my friend's blog the other day that her high school's graduating class has a blog. I thought it was such a great idea to stay in touch that I decided to start one for my graduating class. So, anyone that is reading this from Sky View class of 2001 visit the blog and make sure your info is on there. Also, if you know anyone that has a blog that isn't on there, leave their info. We'll see where it goes from here! The blog is svhsclassof2001.blogspot.com. Thanks!!

Easter Fun

What an eventful week we had! Fun times mixed with not so fun times.

Fun Time:

Tuesday we headed over to the Allred's house for an Easter egg hunt. We had a great time and the food everyone brought was awesome! Thanks Melissa!!

Not so fun time:

Brad had surgery Friday. Everything went well and he is now home and recovering. He says that he didn't think it would hurt this bad so hopefully this passes soon! My parents took Coop until today which was nice. I guess we'll see how things go now that I have all three to take care of.

This is Brad's job now that he's on crutches. Holding Ryker!!

Easter was a fun time! We had a great Easter dinner and the Easter bunny definately found our house. The kids looked so cute in their Easter clothes. I even made it to church with Ryker this week. Coop went to church with my parents. After a great meal we headed to the elementary school to roll eggs down the hill. This is a tradition with the Rich family and Brad made sure we continued it this year. Coop loved throwing the eggs and Brad even made it up the hill crutches and all!

Oh No!!!! Seriously??!!

While at the Rich household last weekend Brad decided to play an intense game of basketball with his brothers out back. He came hobbling in and said that someone kicked him in the back of the leg. He couldn't walk very well and there was a lump on the back of his leg...Some of you can probably guess what happened.
Well, we came home and after some internet reading decided Brad had probably partially torn his achilles tendon. He was still walking around (though hobbling), and not in too much pain.
He had an appointment with the MD today at one. He called and broke the news to me that he had RUPTURED his Achilles tendon and has to get surgery on Friday. He will be on crutches for six weeks and then have to do therapy after that. From what I've heard, it's a LONG recovery. Poor guy!
And...poor me! I have a six week old and a two year old. I have a calling in church where I have to play the piano. Don't know how that's going to work if my husband can't carry my six week old. I guess you don't realize how much your hubby helps you until he's injured. Also, don't know how he'll work since he drives around all day. Hopefully his recovery will be quick and relatively painless. Hopefully it won't be as hard as I'm thinking it's going to be. I guess we'll see.

My poor injured man..

Early Easter

This past weekend we headed up to River Heights to the Rich household. Every year Brad's parents hold their own Easter Egg hunt. Since they won't be here next weekend they decided to hold it early. We had a great time playing games together, watching conference (which was WONDERFUL) and finding hidden Easter Eggs. Coop is quite the little hunter. He LOVES finding the eggs. He was lucky enough to find one of two "PRIZE" eggs which held $20! We had a great time together and thanks to Bill and Carol for their hospitality!!
