Rich Family Campout

So, every August the Rich family gets together up Big Cottonwood canyon for their annual campout. We always have some great food and have fun spending time together. This year was no exception. We usually have the whole clan for a cookout, then only the "tough" ones are left to sleep over. This year I slept in the back of our Explorer while Brad tested Coop out in the tent. He did great. He fell asleep just fine and then woke up around seven which I guess is alright when you are camping.
The funniest thing of the night was the camp hosts yelling at us. They didn't really like the Rich family. There was only room for two vehicles and we had five, so while we unloaded they would come around and tell us to move and then sit there until we did. That wasn't even the worst part. We were yelled at three times because one of the car tires was six inches on the dirt. SERIOUSLY??? That dirt must have been pretty important! Finally after moving it twice we were alright...thank goodness.

The best picture of the night. Coop is already growing up to be exactly like his dad!! haha

The next morning we did a quick hike to Donut Falls. It was a really easy hike with little kids and the falls were really neat.

Throwing rocks again!

Last Week

Last week I headed up to Logan for a few days so that I could help my mom with some canning. It is so nice to head up to Logan because I get to become a kid again and my mom just takes over with Coop. She even tells Coop to call her mama sometimes...accidentally. I laugh because I'm sure that's how she feels!!

We headed to the County Fair on Thursday morning. Coop was actually going to show a cow with the help of Uncle Stephen, but we didn't make it in time. Next year!! He just loved all the animals. It was so funny because he would stick his fingers up the animals noses whenever he got close enough. GROSS!! but funny.

He also loved the tractor display they had there.

That night we found him this "hat" which was a cardboard cylinder. He actually left it on quite a while which is a rarity for him. Here he is preparing his masterpiece.

Last but not lease, Friday was bean day. My mom and I were outside picking them when we looked over at Coop and discovered he had a tail. We were laughing so hard. He kept running all around and it looked like it was wagging!

Coop with Grandpa

Thanks for the nice break mom!! See you in a few weeks.

Silver Lake

This past Saturday Brad and I headed to Silver Lake up American Fork Canyon. He'd heard about it and we wanted to go see it. I didn't think it was the prettiest mountain lake I'd ever seen, but the views were really great on the drive up. Brad was getting sick of me because I kept telling him to stay away from the edge. The dirt road that led up to the lake seriously had some major drop-offs. I always freak out and feel like the car is going to drive right off. I know...I'm paranoid. Anyway, afterward we had a picnic and fire at one of the picnic sites. We had such a good time together.

Coop and Brad throwing rocks in the lake

Time to go! Coop was NOT happy. What is it about throwing rocks into water?

Last but not least, here's a random pic of Coop being "cool". He put on Brad's hat and decided to flex his muscles.
