Potty Training

Okay, so I know there are like a million posts like this out there, but I have some specific questions for you moms out there that have already been through it...
I decided last week to try and get Coop used to the potty. I didn't want to clean up all the messes so I used Pull-Ups. He does great, going almost every time I put him on his potty. I've done the charts and the treats...no problem. The only problem is I'm thinking that with Pull-Ups he still isn't quite understanding that he isn't supposed to go in them... Also, he doesn't really tell me when he has to go, he just goes when I put him on the potty. So, what do all you moms do out there?? Do you just let them pick out their underwear, put it on them and just deal with the fact that there are going to be accidents on your carpet, couch etc.?? Yuck! Do you just wait for a while until they finally tell you when they need to go?? I don't want to spend all day scrubbing on my knees. Especially being this big in the belly (of which someone kindly pointed out last night, yes the baby is already six pounds I found out Wed...and I have more amniotic fluid then normal. Yeah for me). Anyway, so tell me what you do. Any comments are welcomed!!

New Years!!

For this New Years we decided to head up to the Rich cabin in Bear Lake. We headed out Wednesday and took a stop off in Logan for the Aggie game. After an exciting game that went into overtime we headed up to Bear Lake. We made it up there with fifteen minutes to spare before the New Year. Brad and I toasted in the New Year with ourselves. My parents and Stephen didn't quite make it in time, but we celebrated for a bit before hitting the sack.

We had such a great time snowmobiling, sledding and playing games. We also celebrated Michelle's 25th birthday. Love you Michelle!! Thanks to the Rich family for letting us stay in their cabin!!

Rich Family Christmas Party

We had a great time at the annual make-gift Rich Christmas party. We also celebrated Carol's 70th Birthday!! She is such an awesome mother-in-law and we love her so much!!

Sledding

We took time out the day after Christmas to take advantage of the snow that fell. We hooked the sled up behind the explorer and went out on the gravel road by my parents house. We had a great time!!

Looking good in our snow gear, my snow coat barely zips up!!

Christmas Part Two

We were so excited for Christmas with Cooper. It's so much more fun with kids. We got up about 8:00 because Stephen (my brother) wanted to start opening presents. We decided to wait a little bit and just let Coop get up by himself. We waited....and waited....and waited. We finally woke him up about 9:45 because we were heading over to Kent and Robyns in 15 min.

Testing out one of his new presents

We headed over to the cousins to have a wonderful breakfast made by my Aunt Sharee. She has done this the past few years and we look forward to it every year. It is so yummy!!

Coop & Carson

Paul & Ashley's cute white lab. Coop loved it until it nipped at him a little bit. Then he wasn't too sure. It made me want a puppy. She was so cute!

The whole clan

I love this pic of my dad and Coop. They were catching snowflakes after breakfast.

We opened presents after breakfast. Coop loved opening them at first and then he got bored. He wanted to just continue on playing with his toys.

Of course one of his favorite toys was a dollar bubble blower my brother gave him. Next year I'll just have to hit up the dollar store!!

We finished off the great day with a wonderful Christmas dinner. I hope your Christmas was just as great as ours!!

Catching Up...Christmas Part One

Since things are now slowing down, I can catch up on my holiday blogging! We had a WONDERFUL holiday which was filled with friends and family. How fun!! Here we go:

I always feel like the real holiday starts with my B-day on the 20th. I had a great B-day. Brad got me the creche that goes with my nativity scene and some cute boots. We celebrated by going to see Seven Pounds and eating at Market Street grill. Thanks to the Plummers for watching Coop!

That next day I headed up to Logan to spend some more time with my family and Michelle while she is in Utah. We had a busy couple of days getting ready for the Christmas season. While I was there my family had a fondue dinner for my belated B-day. It was great. They also gave me some great presents. Thanks fam!

Christmas Eve was spent with the Rich fam and we had such a great time!! We started the celebration off with a great meal. Carol always has the tables set so cute and the food was wonderful. Thanks Carol!! Of course we had some great games and then it was on to the nativity. This is a tradition each year at the Rich family. It's so fun to see everyone in their cute costumes. Brad and I got in on the action this year as Joseph and Mary. Suprisingly there were no babies this year and since Coop was the youngest boy he was also "baby" Jesus again.

He did great at first...

And then he started to get a little antsy...

He was pretty happy in Mary's robes

We ended the evening with our Christmas PJs. This is such a fun tradition. We had a struggle getting a good shot...but at least Brad looks good. Coop didn't think posing for pictures while his cousins were around was that great of an idea.

We had a great time and it was so good to see everyone!
